Foundations Child Care Center, Inc. is a non-profit early childhood education program that operates several sites in Elkhart County.
Foundations is nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, a member of the voluntary child care rating system, Paths to Quality and a Level 4 provider.
With the collaboration of community, the families we serve and our professional, dedicated, loving staff, Foundation's Child Care Center provides excellent care and developmentally appropriate learning for all children.
Foundations Child Care Center is committed to providing exceptional learning environments for children (ages 0-12 years of age) to help them develop to their fullest potential: physically, cognitively, socially and emotionally. Our professional staff provides a safe and loving atmosphere so each child can develop a positive, healthy self-image. Through developmentally appropriate activities children learn to confidently and independently explore their world and develop a lifelong eagerness to learn in an ever-changing world.
Foundations Child Care Center provides developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 0-12 years of age. Our professional staff implements the Creative Curriculum and Paths to Quality Standards for the the State of Indiana. Emergent curriculum is developed as children's interests encourage growth in all areas of learning. The world is our classroom. Community workers and helpers visit us and our older children visit them. Positive self-esteem, independence, and respect for others is encouraged throughout our program. All families are encouraged to participate and share their values and beliefs within our curriculum and community involvement.
All of our teaching staff are working on or have the minimum of a Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA). More than half of our staff have Associate or Baccalaureate degrees in or related to the Early Childhood field.
